The Role

Global Heat Transfer has an exciting opportunity for an engineer to support the leading heat transfer and thermal fluid supply company.

We are seeking a highly motivated skilled individual to join our team in a role working with customers who have heat transfer systems and thermal fluid in a range of manufacturing applications including; food and beverage, chemical and specialty chemical processing, industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical processing, biodiesel and plastics, polymers and styrene.

We provide innovative engineering solutions across the UK and beyond to help tackle manufacturers’ key heat transfer production challenges in accordance with health and safety regulations.

It’s a varied working pattern to include weekends and overnights for which you are rewarded for.  As an organisation, we strive to create an environment that fosters success both personally and professionally. You would be working in our fantastic new offices which offers an ease of commute and free on-site parking.

Responsibilities will include:

  • thermal fluid changes: flushes, dilutions and removal
  • identifying and resolving problems: investigate manufacturing issues, answer technology questions and solve thermal fluid and heat transfer system production problems
  • visiting customer sites to; take thermal fluid samples, survey systems, report on system components
  • undertake thermal fluid management tasks using a range of portable and fixed technologies
  • production and amendment of documentation for internal and customer usage
  • attend site inductions as required by customers
  • working to approved methodologies to support our ISO 9001 and ISO14001 accreditation
  • delivering training sessions to a wide audience.

The role involves:

  • Travel and overnight stays
  • Some weekend work and international travel
About you
  • good communication skills, be adaptable as needs arise and be able to work by yourself or as part of a team
  • mechanical aptitude, working knowledge and interest in process engineering
  • ability to investigate and ultimately problem solve to address issues
  • working knowledge of Microsoft applications
